The Senate hearing on the Uniting American Families Act is this Wednesday, and we need as many senators as possible to be there. We are e-mailing you because you are from a state that has a senator on the committee.
Please call your Senator who is a democratic Judiciary Committee Member (see below for list!) and tell him or her:
“I urge Senator ______________ to attend the June 3, 10 a.m. Senate Judiciary hearing on the Uniting American Families Act. The Uniting American Families Act, S 424, would allow gay and lesbian Americans to sponsor our foreign-born partners, so we would no longer have to make the terrible choice between being in the country we love or with the family we love. This is a critical issue for my family.”
What to Do: Call the Senate hotline at 202-224-3121 and ask for your Senator listed below; urge him or her to attend the June 3, 10 a.m. Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the Uniting American Families Act because it is important for your family.
